The second half of May and the beginning of June 2010 was a hard time for many of Poles, as they had to leave their homes because of the flood. The situation now is stable but those who came back to their flats and houses realized that there’s, in many cases, not much left, since the “great water” – as the flood is called in media – has taken everything. To see some of them on TV in front of the ruins that used to be their houses was the impulse to react.
Alltogether more than 100 WAGNER spraying systems, more than 6000 l of paint, dozens of bath-tubs and shower trays, some furniture and some anti-fungals were distributed to the people renovating their houses after the flood. All the products were delivered straight to locations of the victims of the flood who needed help.
Help was provided to the victims from a small village near Lublin, Zastów Polanowski, which was under water in 90 %, and the citizens of Tarnobrzeg, a city in the south-west of Poland. WAGNER Poland has also encouraged its business partners, Tikkurila Poland, DHL Express, Sanplast, Technika Stolarska S.C., Centrofarb and Drewal, to participate in the project.
